About Benjamin Young
Tech Business Leader in Washington, DC
The chief innovation officer (CINO) of Washington, DC’s Sworkit, Benjamin “Ben” Young (born Otis Benjamin Young) builds upon a business career that spans approximately a decade. He transitioned from Sworkit’s CEO to become its CINO in 2018 as company operations continued to grow and evolve in terms of technical and administrative complexity. Otis Young relocated to Washington, DC, to concentrate on Sworkit after acquiring the digital fitness app brand through his leadership at Nexercise in Bethesda, Maryland.
Benjamin “Ben” Young established Nexercise along with partner Gregory Coleman shortly after the pair graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Before opting to concentrate exclusively on Sworkit in the mid-2010s, the partners developed a fitness app called NexTrack, taking it from the concept stage to a million-dollar business operation in just a few years. Their early success attracted the attention of the tech business accelerator organization TechStars, which led to far greater mentorship and capital fundraising opportunities.Experience
